पटना। बिहार की राजधानी पटना के मसौढ़ी थाना क्षेत्र में शुक्रवार की शाम अपराधियों ने पुलिस टीम पर अंधाधुंध फायरिंग कर दी, जिसमें दो पुलिसकर्मी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। यह घटना उस समय हुई जब पुलिस टीम स्मैक तस्करों और अन्य अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार करने के लिए मौके पर पहुंची थी।
मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, मसौढ़ी थाना के अपर थानाध्यक्ष राहुल कुमार और सब-इंस्पेक्टर संजय कुमार इस हमले में घायल हुए हैं। बदमाशों ने पुलिस को देखते ही अचानक फायरिंग शुरू कर दी, जिससे पूरे इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। स्थानीय नागरिकों में भय और दहशत का माहौल बन गया।
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और घायल पुलिसकर्मियों को तत्काल नजदीकी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। दोनों घायल पुलिसकर्मियों का इलाज चल रहा है और उनकी हालत स्थिर बताई जा रही है।
पुलिस ने घटनास्थल को घेरकर हमलावर बदमाशों की तलाश शुरू कर दी है। मसौढ़ी और आसपास के थाना क्षेत्रों में भी सर्च ऑपरेशन चलाया जा रहा है। पुलिस प्रशासन ने इस घटना को अत्यंत गंभीरता से लिया है और आरोपियों की जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तारी के आदेश दिए गए हैं।
उल्लेखनीय है कि मसौढ़ी क्षेत्र में स्मैक और अन्य नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी की समस्या लंबे समय से बनी हुई है। पुलिस लगातार इस पर अंकुश लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है, लेकिन तस्करों का हौसला इतना बढ़ गया है कि उन्होंने पुलिस टीम पर ही हमला कर दिया। इस घटना ने क्षेत्र में कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।
In a brazen attack on law enforcement, criminals opened indiscriminate fire on a police team in the Masaurhi police station area of Patna on Friday evening. The assault left two police officers injured as the team had arrived to apprehend smack (heroin) smugglers and other criminals.
The injured officers have been identified as Additional Station House Officer (ASHO) Rahul Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Kumar, both posted at Masaurhi police station. The criminals opened fire as soon as they spotted the police team, causing panic among local residents in the area.
Senior police officials rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the attack. Both injured officers were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and their condition is reported to be stable.
A large-scale search operation has been launched to nab the accused. Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting combing operations across Masaurhi and adjoining police station zones.
The incident has raised serious concerns about law and order in the region, particularly regarding the rampant drug trade that has plagued the Masaurhi area for a long time. Authorities have vowed swift action against the perpetrators.
