In a brazen daylight robbery, three bike-borne criminals targeted a jewellery shop in Damodarpur Bazar, Muzaffarpur, triggering panic among shopkeepers and locals in the area.

According to reports, the three accused arrived at the jewellery shop posing as customers before pulling out weapons and attempting to loot gold ornaments. When shopkeeper Dharmendra resisted the robbery, the criminals opened fire in the air in an attempt to spread terror and force compliance.

However, Dharmendra displayed remarkable courage and refused to be intimidated. He fought back against the robbers and managed to overpower and detain one of the three accused, while the other two managed to escape on their motorcycle.

Local police arrived at the scene promptly after being informed about the incident. The apprehended accused was taken into custody for questioning. Police have launched a manhunt for the two absconding criminals and are trying to unravel the entire gang network through interrogation of the arrested individual.

The incident has highlighted the growing boldness of criminals in Muzaffarpur, who are now targeting busy markets in broad daylight. Local traders and shopkeepers have demanded that police increase patrolling and security in the Damodarpur Bazar area to prevent such incidents in the future.
