पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा 18 जून से होगी पेपरलेस, बजट सत्र में 200 नये विधायकों को मिलेगा विशेष डिजिटल प्रशिक्षण

पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा अब डिजिटल युग में प्रवेश करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। 18 जून से शुरू होने वाले बजट सत्र से राज्य की विधानसभा पूरी तरह पेपरलेस हो जाएगी। यह ऐतिहासिक बदलाव केंद्र सरकार की महत्वाकांक्षी राष्ट्रीय ई-विधान परियोजना (NeVA) के तहत किया जा रहा है, जिसका उद्देश्य देश भर की विधानसभाओं को डिजिटल और आधुनिक बनाना है।
इस परियोजना के अंतर्गत पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा के समस्त कार्यों — जिनमें प्रश्नकाल, विधेयक प्रस्तुति, बजट दस्तावेज और सदन की कार्यवाही शामिल हैं — को डिजिटल माध्यम से संचालित किया जाएगा। अब विधायकों और सदन के अधिकारियों को कागजी दस्तावेजों की जगह टैबलेट और डिजिटल उपकरणों का उपयोग करना होगा।
इस डिजिटल परिवर्तन को सुगम बनाने के लिए हाल ही में हुए विधानसभा चुनावों में विजयी 200 नये विधायकों को विशेष प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। यह प्रशिक्षण उन्हें NeVA प्रणाली के उपयोग, डिजिटल कार्यवाही में भागीदारी और ऑनलाइन दस्तावेज प्रबंधन के बारे में सक्षम बनाएगा, ताकि बजट सत्र के दौरान किसी प्रकार की तकनीकी बाधा न आए।
विधानसभा अधिकारियों के अनुसार यह कदम न केवल पर्यावरण संरक्षण की दिशा में सराहनीय है, बल्कि इससे सदन की कार्यक्षमता और पारदर्शिता में भी उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी। डिजिटल प्रणाली से विधायकों को किसी भी दस्तावेज को तत्काल एक्सेस करने की सुविधा मिलेगी और सूचनाओं का आदान-प्रदान अधिक तीव्र गति से होगा।
उल्लेखनीय है कि NeVA परियोजना के तहत देश के कई राज्यों की विधानसभाएं पहले ही पेपरलेस हो चुकी हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल का यह कदम डिजिटल इंडिया अभियान को और मजबूती प्रदान करेगा तथा विधायी प्रक्रिया को अधिक आधुनिक और जन-उपयोगी बनाएगा।
The West Bengal Legislative Assembly is set to make a historic transition to a fully paperless system starting from the Budget Session commencing June 18. This landmark digital shift will be implemented under the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project, a central government initiative aimed at digitizing legislative assemblies across India.
Under this initiative, all assembly proceedings — including question hours, bill presentations, budget documents, and general house business — will be conducted through digital platforms. MLAs and assembly officials will replace traditional paper documents with tablets and other digital devices.
To facilitate a smooth transition, as many as 200 newly elected MLAs will receive special training on using the NeVA system. The training will cover digital document management, online participation in proceedings, and effective use of the new technology before the budget session begins.
Assembly officials noted that the move will significantly enhance transparency, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. The paperless system will allow instant access to documents and faster exchange of information during sessions.
Several other state assemblies in India have already gone paperless under NeVA, and West Bengal's adoption marks a significant step toward modernizing its legislative processes in line with the Digital India mission.
