A shocking murder took place in broad daylight near the Ganga riverbank in the Mohiuddinagar police station area of Samastipur district, Bihar. The victim, identified as Damodar Sharma, was herding goats in the riverbank area when he was attacked and killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

According to reports, the accused launched a sudden and fatal assault on Damodar Sharma, causing his death on the spot. The incident triggered panic and fear among locals in the surrounding villages.

Acting swiftly on the information received, the Mohiuddinagar police reached the scene, took the body into custody, and launched an investigation. In a prompt response, police successfully arrested the accused, identified as Sanjit Mahato, and subsequently sent him to judicial custody.
